GETTING TO STOWE Stowe is an easy trip from just about anywhere. The route to Stowe is 90% state or interstate highway, more than any other resort in the East. Located in north-central Vermont, we're 40 minutes from Vermont 's largest airport, 15 minutes from Interstate 89, and 15 minutes from the train station. Clear signs, light traffic, well-maintained roads, and pretty views make it a pleasant drive from the airport or other locations. TRAVELING BY PLANE Vermonters are used to dealing with snow, so our major airport has an outstanding open ratio of over 99:1 in the winter. Burlington International Airport offers plenty of flights nonstop from major cities like Philadelphia, Chicago, Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, New York, Boston, Montreal and Washington. Major carriers at Burlington International Airport include JetBlue, Continental Airlines, United Airlines, Northwest, Delta and US Airways. From the airport, it's just a 40-minute drive to Stowe. Taxi service and rentals are available at the airport (we offer preferred rates on Thrifty rental cars with ski racks, all-weather tires, and unlimited mileage). Some lodges provide special transportation for groups. TRAVELING BY CAR OR BUS Directions from Interstate 89 Get off at VT. Exit 10 and take Route 100 North into Stowe Village (about 15 minutes). Turn left onto Route 108, aka. the Mountain Road. Stowe Mountain Resort is six miles up on the left. Spruce Peak is on the right. TRAVELING BY TRAIN Amtrak trains from Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Hartford and intermediate points arrive at the Waterbury-Stowe station, located just minutes from Stowe village.
